About me
My name is Keziah and I use herbal medicine as a bridge for people to use to reach better health.
I first realised my love for nature at a very young age. I grew up held by mountains and oceans and the rhythm of the waves created the soundscape of my childhood.
As I grew up, I grew more passionate about nature and our intrinsic connection to the seasons and the earth. This passion was also marked by the realisation of how disconnected we are to these seasons and rhythms. We have begun to see ourselves as separate to nature, and that disconnect is echoed in our disconnect with out own bodies.
I decided to pursue the study of Herbal Medicine out of a growing necessity to find integration. It became my driving passion to find ways to connect others to the healing that nature offers.
As a Medical Herbalist, I serve as a bridge. Connecting nature to nature. Connecting you to your body, you to the nature you live within.
Herbalists act as a bridge from the natural world to people in need of its healing.
FAQs

Herbal medicine, or phytotherapy, is a natural and evidence-based approach to health that harnesses the therapeutic properties of plants to restore balance and support the body’s healing processes.
Rooted in both traditional wisdom and modern scientific research, it utilises bioactive compounds—such as alkaloids, flavonoids, and essential oils—to regulate physiological functions, enhance resilience, and address imbalances.
From supporting hormonal health to reducing inflammation, herbal medicine offers a holistic, individualised approach to well-being, integrating the knowledge of centuries with contemporary clinical insights for safe and effective care.

A consultation lasts one hour and is a deep dive into your health to understand the bigger picture. We’ll begin by discussing your past medical history and assessing key body systems—such as digestion, hormones, nervous system, and immunity—to identify underlying patterns. We’ll also explore your current concerns, reviewing any symptoms, diagnoses, or imbalances you’re experiencing. Your diet, lifestyle, and any medications or supplements you’re taking will also be considered to ensure a well-rounded, personalized approach. From there, I’ll create a tailored herbal and lifestyle plan to support your body’s natural healing process.

Herbal medicine can support a wide range of health concerns by addressing the root causes of imbalance rather than just managing symptoms. It is commonly used for:
Hormonal Health – Regulating menstrual cycles, easing PMS, supporting fertility, and managing perimenopause and menopause symptoms.
Digestive Issues – Improving gut health, relieving bloating, IBS, acid reflux, and promoting a healthy microbiome.
Stress & Mental Well-being – Supporting the nervous system, reducing anxiety, improving sleep, and enhancing resilience to stress.
Immune Support – Strengthening immune function, reducing inflammation, and supporting recovery from infections.
Skin Health – Addressing acne, eczema, and other skin conditions by targeting internal imbalances.
Energy & Fatigue – Enhancing vitality, supporting adrenal health, and improving overall energy levels.
Inflammation & Pain Management – Easing joint pain, headaches, and chronic inflammatory conditions.
Each herbal protocol is tailored to the individual, considering their unique constitution, lifestyle, and health history for a holistic and effective approach.
-
The timeline varies based on the individual, the condition being treated, and the herbs used. Some people notice improvements within days, while deeper imbalances, such as hormonal or chronic conditions, may take weeks or months to fully respond. Herbal medicine works by supporting long-term balance rather than providing instant relief.
-
It depends on the medication and the herbs being used. Some herbs can interact with prescription drugs, either enhancing or reducing their effects.
It’s essential to consult a qualified herbalist to ensure safety and avoid potential interactions.

Diploma in Herbal Medicine | Betonica School of Herbal Medicine
This four year course provided a highly rigorous training in anatomy, pharmacology, pathology, and phytochemistry.
This training equipped us with the same diagnostic skills as GPs which enables us to critically evaluate different conditions using clinical examinations and differential diagnosis.
The programme demanded over 500 hours of supervised clinical placement. These took place at the Betonica student clinic and a variety of Herbalists around the UK.
Frec 3 qualification in First Aid | Festival Medical Services
I also hold a Frec 3 qualification in First Aid, enabling me to work in more acute scenarios such as festivals.
Health Care Assistant | Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital
Other experience include working at the RD&E hospital for over two years. I worked on various wards, but naturally gravitated towards the maternity ward. I worked on this ward exclusively for a beautiful six months, and continue to work occasional shifts there.
I found this work experience developed my skills as a medical practitioner as I learnt a lot about patient care, dignity, and empowerment. This has certainly impacted the way I practice and interact with my herbal patients.
